A Fusion of Cultural Experience and Business Opportunities
Recently, Smart Capital investor group from Taiwan visited Kyoto and Osaka for a business trip. We, Japagrit, who provide experiences that blend business and entertainment, had the privilege of supporting this special trip. Our aim was to allow them to fully appreciate the charm of Japan while also expanding their business opportunities, and we supported every aspect of their stay.
To enrich the Smart Capital group's stay, here are some of the programs that Japagrit provided:
Day 1
After arriving at Kansai International Airport, they traveled to Namba to watch Sumo wrestling, Japan's national sport. At the venue, we arranged box seats, allowing them to watch the matches up close. Everyone seemed thrilled by the wrestlers' fierce battles. In the evening, we prepared Fugu (pufferfish) cuisine, a specialty of Osaka. In addition to fostering interaction among the participating investors, we also invited entrepreneurs operating businesses in Osaka to join. They enjoyed lively discussions about entertainment-related businesses while having beers.

Day 2
In the morning, they visited a company in Osaka and held a business session between the management and investors. Discussions revolved around the future of the Japanese economy and technological innovation in Taiwan. Afterwards, they experienced a tea ceremony in Nara. We included opportunities to experience Japanese culture alongside the business itinerary. Of course, they also enjoyed taking photos with the deer in Nara Park. In the evening, they had dinner with Maiko in Kyoto. While it's usually difficult to have dinner with Maiko, Japagrit's local network made it possible for our Taiwanese guests. They enjoyed the evening in Kyoto, engaging in Q&A and sharing drinks together.

Day 3
To provide a moment of relaxation, they experienced a wellness retreat at Kurama-dera Temple and Kifune Shrine. Visiting the nature-rich Kurama-dera Temple and Kifune Shrine allowed them to refresh their minds and bodies, stepping away from the daily hustle and bustle to spend time with themselves in tranquility.
Afterwards, they watched a Kabuki performance at Minami-za Theatre, followed by a Sukiyaki party. To explore new business opportunities, Japanese startup entrepreneurs also joined the dinner party. Lively discussions took place on AI trends and the business situation in Taiwan, and it seemed they felt the potential for new business ventures.

Day 4
This day was dedicated to a business session focused on learning about Kyoto's industrial technology. Kyoto is home to traditional artisans and sake breweries. The City of Kyoto plays a role in supporting the transmission of these techniques and the development of new products. As Taiwan also has a strong manufacturing industry, the learning experience in Kyoto was likely beneficial for each participant's business.
In the afternoon, they visited a tea manufacturing factory, learned about tea production methods and processes, and enjoyed tea tasting. Japanese tea is very famous in Taiwan, so the participants were very interested. Matcha, in particular, is gaining global recognition, leading to in-depth discussions about future business prospects.
For the night stroll, we enjoyed a hidden cigar bar in Kyoto. The bar was so authentic and classic style.

Day 5
The final day. To allow them to fully appreciate Japanese sake in a special setting, we arranged a sake tasting experience at a chartered temple. At a historic local temple, they savored the profound depths of various Japanese sakes in a solemn atmosphere. In addition to the sake tasting, there were also sermons and sutra readings by monks, providing a mindful experience for the busy investors.
In the afternoon, they visited a Japanese whisky distillery, learning about its production methods and history. This seemed to increase their interest in Japanese whisky. Of course, some also enjoyed whisky tasting. Afterwards, they departed from Kansai International Airport back to Taipei.
