Izakaya Hopping in Kyobashi, Osaka

Osaka has various areas for Izakaya bar hopping. Fukushima, Tenma, Namba and Umeda are must-visit spots for Sake lovers. But today, we would like to introduce Kyobashi where you can find deep and cozy restaurants for Izakaya hopping.

Only 8 seats in a Izakaya

Those who come to Kyobashi tend to go to up-coming areas like Italian & Spanish restaurants, Sake standing bar and Pub. But we went to some restaunrants which you can find narrow streets without blight neons.

The restaurant run by 2 person offered only Japanese menu. You need to communicate with them to order beer, foods and a glass of water. This is the very way to enjoy Izakaya hopping, right? You must love their hand-made meals which are not typical local foods but their original ones which customers visit there for. Thanks to local customers, this Izakaya has more than 50 years history in Kyobashi.

Very economic Izakaya but nostalgic atmosphere

Kyobashi has long arcade where you can find Yakiniku, Yakitori, Sushi bar and other restaurants. The cade starts from JR Kyobashi station. Let us introduce a very local Izakaya bar in the acade. This Izakaya has many seats to accept business workers who finish their job. The customers talk laudly because they are drunk. But the staffs are more laud to tell their orders to kitchen staffs who must be more than 60 years old.

Each portions cost 200yen, 300yen and so on. (These are super cheap.) Additionally, the Izakaya seems to have long history since we can find old menus on the wall which says that Tempura set costs 150yen. This is impossible in this era.

Kyobashi has various food hopping spots where foreign tourists are not coming a lot. Kyobashi is like one of the last spots only for locals. If you are interested in this kind of food experience, we share good information for foodie events during your stay in Osaka.
