Our memvers in a current project, Koi Plus Travel Concierge, recently participated in one of Japan's most prestigious events—All Japan Nishikigoi Show—to promote the charms of Yamakoshi, Niigata, the home of Nishikigoi.

A Celebration of "Living Jewels" Under the Global Spotlight

On January 24th and 25th, Tokyo transformed into a stage to determine the most beautiful Nishikigoi in the world.

The venue was buzzing with energy, drawing hobbyists, dealers, and breeders from ovwrseas. With over 1,000 Nishikigoi on display, the event felt like the "World Cup" of the Koi world. Each fish, swimming with power and elegance, was a masterpiece that left spectators breathless.

In collaboration with the breeders of Yamakoshi, Niigata—the birthplace of Nishikigoi—we are developing unique tourism programs centered around these magnificent creatures. At our booth, we proposed a new way to experience Koi: moving beyond just "viewing" to "deeply understanding and experiencing" them through travel.

Our booth welcomed a steady stream of dedicated hobbyists and professional dealers. We were thrilled to receive highly positive feedback from these experts, who saw great value in our specialized services.

Three Experiences That Captured the Most Interest

During our discussions, three specific programs stood out as particularly popular:

* Guided Tours of Koi Farms with Professional Breeders

Many entry-level hobbyists were captivated by the chance to see the environments where Koi are raised and to observe young Koi in their natural growth habitats.

* Cultural Koi Heritage Tours

Rather than seeing Koi merely as ornamental fish, this tour frames them as a part of Japanese history. Dealers, in particular, noted that this would be an excellent program for the family members of their clients.

The idea of enjoying Nishikigoi in the serene and luxurious setting of a traditional Japanese garden resonated with those looking for a premium, quintessentially Japanese experience.

The connections we made at the show reaffirmed the massive potential of "Koi Tourism." Moving forward, we are focusing our energy on the following initiatives:
