All of you may know Samurai.

But have you ever met a sword smith who had made Japanese sword for Samurai?

The last day, our clients participated in our tailor made experience focusing on Japanese sowrd smith.

Sakai in Osaka is famous for traditional blades.

Unfortunately, the number of sword smiths is decreasing gradually.

However, one of the craftman has been keeping the tradition through making Japanese sword and authentic kitchen knives which are made through same method with Japanese sword in his craft studio.

When we entered his shop, various knives are in showcases and a professionals chef was choosing 5 or 6 knives there.

The sword smith took us to his actual craft studio where we could find actual and not completed Japanese sword. Those swords are made for traditional ceremonies like Shrine, Temple and Sumo.

The reason why he has kept his job is that he knows how important their job is in Japanese society and his passion makes him so.

A participant bought a knife after finishing this tour. Even when the sword smith gave him the product, he did the final check about if the product was in perfect condition.

We must follow his attitude that he works so hard for customers.
